The apartment welcomes couples, but the price will be slightly different, and both tenants need to be students. Currently, there is a 20% additional charge for double occupancy.
Can I drive to the apartment to check in?
All the apartments are located in the city center, close to the university, and public transportation is very convenient. At the same time, the developers took into account the impact of cars on the environment while constructing the apartment buildings. Therefore, given the location and transportation advantages, no parking lots have been established at any of the apartments. Moreover, in some residential areas, such as Exeter, parking is prohibited within 1.5 kilometers of the dormitory area.

What should I do if something in my room is broken or malfunctioning?
You can easily report maintenance issues using the apartment's mobile app from the comfort of your room! Just fill out the maintenance request form and you can even attach a photo, and the property manager will respond as soon as possible. You can also go downstairs and talk to the customer service team at the front desk; they are happy to help.

Can I move into the room early?
This depends on your usage of the booked room. You can send an email in English to the apartment management team at CustomerEngagement@vitastudent.com.
Who should I contact if there's a problem with the internet?
You can reach out to the apartment staff and fill out a maintenance request form, or you can contact the apartment's internet service provider, Ask4. The technical support phone number for Ask4 is 0114 303 3232 (UK number). They have specially trained staff who can quickly resolve internet issues.
How to pay rent?
The apartment supports account login, allowing payments through the TransferMate platform or via bank wire transfer.
1. Payment via TransferMate Platform: Please log into your personal apartment account, then select "Pay Now" on the Booking page to be redirected to the TransferMate payment interface. Fill in the relevant information and complete the payment. Please note that this payment method involves you paying TransferMate, and once TransferMate receives the funds from the student, they will then make the payment to VITA STUDENT. Therefore, the expected processing time for payments is about 3-5 business days. If there are public holidays in China or the UK, this may be extended.
2. Payment via Bank Wire Transfer: VITA currently accepts bank wire transfers, either from China or from a UK bank account. For UK wire transfers, the processing time is generally about 1 week for updates; for Chinese wire transfers, it usually takes about 1-2 weeks. Please note that VITA does not have a bank account in China, only a company account in the UK. Please use VITA's official account for the transfer and strictly follow VITA's information. Do not trust any information provided by third parties.

What fees do I need to pay?
All utilities, including water and electricity, as well as 250 Mbps broadband and Wi-Fi, and personal property insurance are included in the rent. Breakfast is also included in the weekly rent from Monday to Friday.
When can I check in?
You can check in as soon as the contract starts. If you arrive at the apartment outside of working hours, it’s best to inform the property in advance so they can arrange your check-in.

A guarantor refers to a person who is over 18 years old and can share the financial responsibility of renting with you. If, for any reason, you are unable to pay the rent to the apartment, this person can pay it on your behalf. If you choose to pay the rent in two or four installments when booking, a guarantor is required. They must agree to be your guarantor and sign the rental documents. The apartment management has the right to pursue unpaid rent from the guarantor. Therefore, it is essential to make sure your guarantor understands their obligations.

Where can I do laundry?
All dormitories have laundry rooms within the apartment buildings, equipped with washing machines and dryers. The cost for washing clothes is approximately £2.70 per load, and drying costs about £1.20 per load. You can use the apartment's mobile app to check if your clothes are done and to see when the machines are available! The laundry rooms are also open 24 hours a day.
